It’s almost winter. Everyone (ok, not everyone) is playing Rime of the Frostmaiden. I’ve been making some maps for my use, and I should share them! Here are three free winter battlemaps for your enjoyment. They are based on the same template, adding more or less complexity to the map. All maps were made with the free assets on Dungeondraft.
Simple Split River
This map features a narrow creek / river that splits in two. It has a path that has been partially covered by snow, which can be followed two different directions to the West. There is also a small island. There is not much to this, just a simple winter scene.
Split River with Trees
This map adds trees and a few rocks. I would 100% have creatures hiding in those trees…..
Split River at Night
This map moves the scene to night, and adds a camp.
Dungeondraft is so simple
Changing these maps took about 2 minutes, once I had the base map. Feel free to use these for personal use. If you’d like any of these without a grid, or with some minor changes, let me know.
