Today’s free magic item is inspired by looking out my window, seeing a tall tree, and wondering how I’d climb it!
Claws of Climbing
Wondrous Item, Uncommon
These gloves are made from the claws of tigers, though rumors exist that similar gloves can be made from the claws of bears. They look like normal gloves, until the wearer activates them (which is a “free action”). When activated, claws appear. For the next ten minutes, the user gains a climbing speed equal to their normal movement speed. If they can already climb, their speed increases by 10 ft. The claws break off if the wearer tries to use them in combat. The wearer must complete a short or long rest before they can be activated again.
